| Seizures that are consistently or nearly consistently induced by a specific stimulus, which may be sensory, sensory-motor, or cognitive. The stimulus may "elementary" (e.g., light, elimination of visual fixation, touch), "complex" (e.g., toothbrushing, eating), or cognitive (e.g., reading, calculating, thinking, listening to music). Seizures that occur in the context of factors that reduce seizure susceptibility (e.g., sleep deprivation, stress, hyperventilation, fever or illness) are not reflex seizures. |
